OZAMIZ CITY—Mayor Ando Oaminal has
recently issued an executive order extending the restrictions and limitations
imposed in his earlier EO’s until April14, this year.
This means, the community
quarantine (CQ) enforced in the city is also continued for a time due to the
threat of coronavirus disease.
This is also amid the continuing
increase of COVID-19 cases in the country, which the Department of Health (DOH)
said is expected due to the increased testing capacity.
Although this city only has one confirmed
case that is on the road to recovery, the mayor has eyed this specific attempt to
ensure the safety and security of Ozamiznons.
To recall, Oaminal issued EO 2020-SFO-11,
placing the city under community quarantine from March 18 to March 31, today.
This EO takes on the movement of
residents who will be limited to only essential and work-related trips while
uniformed personnel and health or quarantine officials would be deployed to all
the city’s border points. (M. MEDINA)
