Do something to get interested, says Tan

OZAMIZ CITY—Being alone and in quarantine at home is boring, all right and could be real torture when we yearn to be free from the feverish loneliness.

“Maayong adlaw Misamisnon. Karong adlawa kung wala kay mahimo. Pag ampo ug pag puyo! Then you have made a great contribution to our country,” is Tan’s curt message.

He’s right; there are many ways to keep busy at home aside from praying. We should not kill our own happiness, but only time.

Stop sleeping all the time. If you have interests, enjoy what you would really enjoy doing when you are bored. Don’t procrastinate, you might develop bad habits.

Fill your time with meaningful activities. Here are some relaxing things to do when bored:

Give yourself a manicure or pedicure.
Try out a new hairstyle or experiment with your hair.
Take a bubble bath.
Try out a new facemask or beauty product.
Doodle, color, or draw on some paper.
Do yoga (check out YouTube for tutorials).
Write a poem or write in a journal.
Take a nap. (M.Medina)
