PNP augments police forces in Misoc


Oroquieta City—The PNP provincial command is set to add more personnel and will be deployed around the province to provide security for the Covid19 crisis.

Pnp Provincial Director Col. Danildo Tumanda disclosed some 100 police personnel arrived here yesterday from Damilag, Bukidnon who are “properly sanitized” prior to their entry to the province.

These personnel are undergoing Field Training Program and will be their deployed to borders’ control points and assist in manning the quarantine control points established in the province, Tumanda said

They will likewise beef up security requirements and implementation of the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and will act as additional personnel in the field, he added.

Before being deployed, these troops will be briefed on Covid19 awareness, DOH protocols, implementing guidelines and executive orders implemented in the province, Tumanda explained in his press release.

Their first order is to protect the frontliners, always carrying out complete inspection and checklist to monitor the compliance of protective equipment necessary for their particular activity.

Another 400 more police personnel are placed on stand by for any undesirable or unexpected occurrence relating to the government’s response to the corona virus disease.

The stand by force will be mobilized into action on home quarantine rules if additional forces are needed on the ground.
