Soldier who recovered from Covid-19 tested positive again

PAGADIAN CITY--A soldier from the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division (1ID) at Camp Sang-an in Pulacan, Zamboanga del Sur and who successfully recovered from COVID-19 has again tested positive for the virus.

The said soldier had a travel history in Metro Manila where he was deployed during the start of the community quarantine in early March and was able to visit the Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Upon his return to Camp Sang-an, he was admitted to the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center last March 17 for showing signs and symptoms of the virus.

After being tested, he was then confirmed positive for COVID-19 last March 30 and placed under strict monitoring.

After undergoing quarantine and medication, the soldier was again tested and the result of his repeat test turned out negative as of April 6.

Despite recovering from the illness, the said soldier was monitored by the rural health unit of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

News sources from the media in the city confirmed today that said the soldier again tested positive for the coronavirus. (M. MEDINA)
